10’ by 12’ A-frame cabin with porch. 2 single beds on main floor (can be moved together) and one loft crawl-in space at the top of a ladder. Very private walk-in site. 300 meters from where you will park. We can help transport luggage. The cabin is complete with a fire pit, bench and chairs, camper propane stove and kitchen basics. Water in portable tote used in a dry sink. Composting toilet in outhouse near cabin. Tiny wood stove for heat. The cabin is close to Algonquin Park, approximately 45 min to 1 hr away (depending on access point).

*** New this year, access to a year-round comfort station with shower, flush toilet and sinks. 300 meters from this cabin.

We had a lovely weekend at the Juniper cabin! It was clean and very comfortable. This was a fantastic winter getaway, we’d definitely stay here again. We saw a ton of stars at night, I loved the snowshoe trails and Marilyn and Svinda are the loveliest hosts!!

About Rise Above Guest House

Our name choice was inspired by the “Rise Above” artwork by Kurt Flett, an Oji-Cree (Swampy Cree) from Garden Hill First Nation in the Island Lake region of northern Manitoba. Come and join us in our adventure with the Land as we continue to learn what she has to teach us.
