Wild Church Leadership Training  2025

Thursday, May 1 @ 4pm – Saturday, May 3 @ 2pm

This leadership retreat is for anyone wanting to learn more about leading wild church services. We especially encourage anyone who will lead or hopes to lead a wild church service in Algonquin Park in the summer to attend.

In light of the unravelling of business as usual in our world, we, here at Rise Above Guest House, deliberately choose to deepen our relationship with our vision and mission that invites all who come here to connect with the healing cycles of the Land. In this leadership retreat, through conversation, mutual learning and guidance we will participate in spiritual practices in nature that will strengthen our connection to land and provide you with tools to guide others.

We all need this now more than ever. We need the strength, courage, and fortitude provided by deep land connection. The Land provides so much abundance and we at Rise Above Guest House have always longed to share it.

In Wild Church, also known as Forest Church, we attune ourselves to the Sacred through the earth and her creatures. The more-than-human world is part of the gathered congregation.

We gather to listen deeply, explore creatively, and live gratefully; and to be transformed by intentional connection with the ancient and sacred rhythms of the creation of which we are a part. Together we will read and study the Book of Nature.

The ancients say that to know nature is to know something of God.
