This main floor room has access to the shared second floor family room, library and dining area. There is one other room with 2 beds for rent in the Guest House. Your hosts, Marilyn and Svinda also have their own private quarters in the house. Three glamping cabins are 100 to 300 meters away and are not visible from the house.

Roam the land and forest. Curl up with a book in the family room with library. Enjoy the quilt and art collection. Greet our miniature donkeys. Allow your stress and cares to melt away as the healing energy of the land rejuvenates you. Upon request you can also book a Guided Forest Bathing Walk or Shiatsu treatment, and we are happy to provide a general orientation to the forest.

Our home is 45 min. to 1 hr. from Algonquin Provincial Park (depends on access point) and we will provide information about access to public beaches and boat launch areas at many local lakes and rivers—many within 20 minutes. We have 5 km of snowshoe/hiking trails. In winter we provide snowshoes for rent – $30 per pair. There are also many local hikes. Delightful stay!

Marilyn and Svinda were very accommodating. I arrived late due to poor driving conditions and they were flexible. When I finally arrived, they took time out of their movie night to acquaint me with their beautiful guesthouse and its quirky personality. I had the upstairs to myself to quietly read and enjoy the stunning view and they were respectful of my personal space. The following morning they were kind enough to answer all my questions about the local area, history of the house, and introduce me to all the lovely critters. Then I got a solid afternoon of snowshoeing and shinrin-yoku in. They have acres of trails to explore.
