Private Room in Guest House
Queen & Single Beds

Sleeps: 2 or 3

Enjoy hilltop and forest views for miles from the shared balcony in this solar-powered sustainable Guest House situated on a very private 64 acres. This second floor room has access to its own bathroom and kitchenette and is adjacent to shared family room/library/dining. There is one other queen bedroom in house for rent on main floor. Also, your hosts, Marilyn and Svinda, have their own private quarters in the house. Three glamping cabins are 100 to 300 meters away and not visible from the house.

Roam the land and forest. Curl up with a book in the family room with library. Enjoy the quilt and art collection. Greet our miniature donkeys. Upon request you can also book a Guided Forest Bathing Walk or Shiatsu treatment, and we are happy to provide a general orientation to the forest.

Our Guest House is 45 minutes to 1 hr. from Algonquin Provincial Park (depending on access point) and we will provide information about access to public beaches and boat launch areas at many local lakes and rivers—many within 20 minutes. We have 5 km of snowshoe/hiking trails and there are also many other local hikes. In winter we rent snowshoes for $30 per pair. When you click on your preferred dates the pricing will show up at the bottom of the page.

The Rest Nest Room in Guest House

“I visited Marilyn and Svinda’s place to get some writing done. They were very welcoming and kind. They were available if I every needed anything but I also had as much privacy as I wanted…”
