Contemplative Nature Photography Retreat - postponed until summer 2025
August 9-11, 2024
Join us as we combine contemplative and mindfulness practices with photography, creativity, and nature-connection activities. This restful retreat will provide you with an opportunity to be guided in slowing down to notice the small miracles that surround us in nature. We will linger in those experiences that we find delightful and awe-inspiring within both forest and lake-side environments. A team of highly skilled facilitators will support your process as you learn the techniques to first notice and then deepen your experience of phenomena such as mystery, beauty, wisdom, and/or awe before capturing this within a single photographic image. You will be taught self-care practices based on neuroscience that involve nature-based mindfulness meditations and visualizations that draw upon the photographic images that you capture as well as the experiences that underlie them. Optional evening programming will include a short guided silent walk, indoor nature printing, and/or reflective journaling with circle sharing.
Participants are invited to arrive Friday August 9th after 4 pm
