Barbara Lindenberg MFA
choreographer • performer • facilitator
My work in dance expresses deep trust for the body, for dance as an art form, and for dance as a healing power and as a catalyst for social change and personal growth. My goal as a facilitator/teacher is to make available the incredible transformative power of dancing and connecting with self and community through dance.
My training as a dancer is grounded in modern and contemporary techniques. I received a BFA in Dance from York University in 2001 and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Simon Fraser University in 2011. My education, training, and career as a performer and choreographer have taken me to the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Spain, China, Belgium, and France.
a testimonial to Barbara’s choreography:
The courage to be simple, innocent, naive, touched by colour or joy or imagining frees those who witness to be in the presence of their own joyful childish courage.”
– Doug Tielli (musician, composer)
